Barrington IrvingOn March 23rd, at 10:30 a.m. EDT, "Barrington Irving, a 23-year old senior majoring in aerospace at Florida Memorial University, traded his cap and gown for a brown flight suit, climbed into a single-engine plane he calls "Inspiration," and embarked on a round the world flight that will make him the first person of African descent and the youngest person ever to fly solo around the globe." [World Flight Adventure]

So far Barrington has flown approximately 21,165 NM. He's gone through the USA, Canada, Azores, Spain, Italy, Greece, Egypt, UAE, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Japan. Follow along as Barrington’s GPS position is updated via satellite. [See the Flight Tracker].

Barrington Irving is an inspiration to us all. We're proud of his determination and courage and the focused manner in which he's accomplishing his goal of being the first person of African descent and the youngest person ever to fly solo around the globe.
