Contests
Buggy Eaters
By Hannah B., Contest #200804

She took one of the mysterious seeds and tossed it into the lake.  Then she went home, ate dinner and went to bed.

The next day she was going past the same lake where she had tossed the seed and saw a giant squash.  She was amazed to see such a big squash.  What could she do with it?

She ran home and started brainstorming.  She got a piece of paper and a pencil and began to write:  make squash stew, leave it there and forget about it, ...? Then she had an idea!  She could make an insect restaurant!  So she got to work designing.

She found that every chair would cost the earth one leaf and each table would cost four rocks, each stove six hot rocks, and the food supply would be 100 flies.  This was going to be the perfect bug restaurant, all from one tiny seed.

The next day she collected the supplies and began to build.  She started by cutting a door out of the squash.  Then she put the furniture in and named the restaurant "Buggy Eaters".  It was a huge hit.  They had the best food in bug town!
