WRITING
copyrighttalk.com
By Pamela Parker, 03.03.07

Since many writers visit this site, to whom copyright is important, I wanted to let you know about one of my writing projects. I have a brand new blog called Copyright Talk, www.copyrighttalk.com which launched just this past week.

I would love to hear any comments or questions on copyright that you have - posted either on the blog or emailed directly to me - so that I can touch on the kinds of topics you all would like to hear about.

I am an attorney, so I view everything from a slightly legal angle, but the blog is intended for writers, musicians, and others who own or who are impacted by copyright laws. I can cover anything from basic explanations to analysis of current developments to understanding and negotiating rights in publishing contracts. So help me shape this thing and make it useful.

Pamela Parker, JD, is a cum laude graduate of the Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles and was licensed to practice law by the Texas Supreme Court in 1988. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. In her Austin, Texas law practice she primarily represents musicians, school teachers, and parents of children with disabilities. Married to a musician, she has an intimate experience with the issues faced by songwriters, and with what she calls the "creative winds" that blow through their personalities.
