Backward Day is Back
By Sarah V., Contest #200901

Backward Day was here and I was trying to figure out what to wear. I looked through my closet only to find regular polo shirts and kaki pants. I was disappointed but decided that was all I had so I had to make it work. I dressed myself totally backwards. My shirt was on backwards and so were my pants. But that wasn’t enough.

I went to my dad and asked for his sunglasses and he lent me an old pair. Putting them on the back side of my head was hilarious but still wasn’t enough. I needed a hat so I asked my brother for one. Being the stingy person that he is he wouldn’t let me have it.

Right then mom told me it was time to leave. I thought about my book bag so I put it on my front. When we were stepping out the door I realized I had no shoes on. I ran up to my bedroom and found that putting shoes on backwards is pretty hard to do so I decided to just put them on the wrong foot. I finished up, got on the bus, and headed off to school.
