Life had been unfair, worrisome, and perhaps after today she would feel better. She read some short stories then picked up her Bible. Words fascinated her, so she looked up the word ‘nothing’ in the back. She found a series of questions with verses written in the margin. Questions like, ‘What can separate me from the love of God?’ and the answer: NOTHING! Other questions were: The answer to all of the questions was—NOTHING! Emerald went to sleep that night feeling glad for her Nothing Day. The ‘NOTHINGS’ she had discovered were not just for a Nothing Day, they were for every day of the rest of her life. “I will enjoy Nothing Days each day from now on,” she promised herself.
