| Source: Children Come First http://www.childrencomefirst.com/forgotten.shtml Contests National Nothing Day finally arrived. It was 16th January 2008 and I was completely tired so I went to sleep, even though it was early in the day. Suddenly a phone call came. I never would have guessed who it could be. When I picked it up, it was my friend asking what time was I coming to his party. I was stunned. I had completely forgotten that it was my friends' birthday. All I could say was, "Oh my gosh." My friend asked again, "Hello, are you there? What time are you coming for the party?" Then I said, "I'll try to come at about 4:00 PM." I hung up the phone, got dressed and off I went to the shops to buy him the brand new mobile he wanted. When I got back home I quickly wrapped the present I knew he would definitely like to have for his birthday. It was nearly 4:00 PM as I left my house and hurried to the party. When I got there I was only 5 minutes late and I ended up having a great time at the party. So much for doing nothing on Nothing Day!
