You see, I love the art of entertaining and love to see peoples faces light up when they see me escape from various traps! Obviously, I know who Harry Houdini is He was a great escapologist. And, to me, he was one of the greatest people in the world! But enough about Houdini, let's get back to me, Emily Lanly. I practice every day, because that's what it takes to be a good escapologist. It takes practice and it takes lots of commitment and humility. You've got to get used to being humiliated when the performance doesn't work out, don't you? I had been practicing for almost two years. It was time for me to shine! I planned on performing the same tricks I had been practicing all along. Whoosh, my cape flew over my head as I walked out onto the stage. Two mammoth-sized men wrapped me up in chains. And, after one minute, I was out! Everyone cheered and I felt great! Right after that...I fell off the stage. Now I'm known as the clumsiest escapologist in the world.
