| Source: Children Come First http://www.childrencomefirst.com/mirettehighwire.shtml Reporters I wanted to review Mirette on the High Wire, by Emily Arnold McCully, because I have walked on a tightrope at my big sister's circus school. At first it felt sort of high, but then I got used to it, kind of like Mirette does in the book. I think that Emily Arnold McCully did a good job describing how it feels to walk on a high wire. I liked the pictures and how she wrote the book, especially the part about Bellini crossing Niagara Falls and cooking an omelette on the high wire. How did he get the live coals up there? I think other kids should read this book because it sort of helps you learn how to walk on a high wire, and it explains things that people wouldn't know unless they read this book.
