Location:
Wyndham Hotel, 5580 Tech Center Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80919

What:
Debra Dixon, award-winning author and CEO at Belle Books, offered a full-day workshop on Goal, Motivation and Conflict (GMC).

Dixon's Book-In-A-Day workshop provides the tools a writer needs to shape a story and create a road map to writing it.

This intensive workshop covered the three most important elements of popular fiction--goal, motivation and conflict (GMC), and how these elements work with the mythic structure of Joseph Campbell's Hero's Journey to help writers conceive and create strong plots and compelling characters.

A best-selling author, Dixon is currently at work on her tenth book and is the recipient of a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award.  Gryphon Books for Writers published Dixon's first writing "how-to" book, now in its fourth printing, based on her popular Goal, Motivation, and Conflict workshop.  Dixon teaches novel-writing courses for the University of Memphis as well as one-day writing workshops across the country.

Cost:
This workshop cost was $25.00 for PPW members and $45.00 for non-members. (Note that lunch was not included but 1-1/2 hours was allotted for a lunch break.)
