Contests
Sara's Little Plant
By Sierra E., Contest #200804

She took one of the mysterious seeds and tossed it in a hole she dug. Then she patted some soil on top of it. Sara couldn’t believe that this mysterious boy just handed them to her!

“I’ll come back here tomorrow and take a peek on you before school.” Sara whispered to the seeds.

The next morning Sara went outside and peeked at the spot where she'd planted the seeds. Well, actually it was impossible just to peek. An enormous strawberry tree had grown overnight from the seeds she'd planted!

Sara just had to call her best friends, Jenny and Hannah. She called Hannah and told her to invite Jenny over to her house.

A few minutes later Jenny and Hannah were at the house gazing at the beautiful strawberry tree.

 “Wow!” They marveled in unison.

“I know.” Sara agreed

“Can we please eat some?” Hannah questioned

“Sure.” Sara replied already munching on one herself.

That day Sara, Jenny, and Hannah missed school because they ate every single strawberry from the huge strawberry tree.

“You have to find that kid who gave you the seeds and thank him,” Jenny pleaded

“I will. I will.” Sara promised.
