Maximum Ride, by James Patterson, is a compelling story about a group of kids that were taken as babies by mad scientists and mutated into bird/human hybrids.

The story starts just as they escape from their prison and fly off to find their parents. Max struggles as she tries to be the mother of her flock and still save the world from a dark sinister plan that she can’t comprehend. And the strange wolf-like creatures hunting them don’t make things any better!

Join Max, Fang, Iggy, the Gasman, Nudge, and Angel in their escapades. An unforgettable team that will make you laugh and cry. I loved this story and couldn’t stop reading it. So fasten your seatbelts and brace yourself for the Maximum Ride!

Cameron, [Colorado Springs, CO] is in 8th grade.  Reading is one of his greater passions as is rollerblading and video games. Books tend to have a seperate, deeper meaning for him about life and that is why he enjoys them so much. His parents write us that, "Cameron is the best kid in the world.... No doubts!"
