The Nobel PrizeWow! Have you heard of the Nobel Prize? It's "the first international award given yearly since 1901 for achievements in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and peace. The prize consists of a medal, a personal diploma, and a prize amount." We found a place on cyberspace where you can visit and learn all about this prestigious award.

Alfred Nobel
At the Nobel e-Museum you'll find all kinds of fascinating information related to the Nobel Prize. You'll learn about Alfred Nobel, the man behind the Prizes. Björkborn Manor and LaboratoryAnd if you click on his name not only do you learn about him you can also take a virtual tour of his home, Björkborn Manor and Laboratory. Absolutely beautiful!

The site has wonders to explore. Whatever link you click on will bring up a page that has a side bar with more related links. You'll find historical information, photo galleries, games, timelines and so much more. Click on "Events" and a page with a myriad of options will open up. Here you'll find a list of menus from the Nobel Banquets from 1901 to the present. They're in french but you still get a wonderful idea of the type of food that's served plus you'll see a photo of how the tables are set for the gala event. Isn't the table setting exquisite?

Nobel Prize VideosThe entire site and especially the panoramic videos, on-demand videos and photos reflect a sense of awe befitting such an esteemed prize. There's even a timeline putting the material on this site within a historical context.

We would want kids all over the world to visit the Nobel e-Museum over and over and dream dreams of what they could do to serve humanity in such a way as to be deserving of such a prize. The Nobel e-Museum is worth bookmarking and coming back to time and again.
