The Tale of Despereaux

My favorite part of the book, The Tale of Despereaux, by Kate Dicamillo, was when Despereaux rescued the princess.

The only thing I didn't like about this book was that the story did not flow along very well. I recommend this book to young readers who are not interested in reading long books but still want to read books with adventure, fantasy and sad parts in it.

Out of the books I have read, and I have read a lot, I would rate The Tale of Despereaux a B+. I hope many children will read it.

Megan, [Portland, Oregon] is a 3rd grade student. She likes to read different kinds of books. She is learning to play piano and violin and goes to two different school.

Check this title out at your school or local public library! If you'd rather purchase it, we've linked the image to amazon.com where titles are usually offered at a good discount, especially if you purchase them used. Another great place to check is AddALL. Type the book ISBN and click "Find It!" This will look at many online booksellers and tell you where you can get it at the best price.
Send your book reviews in to CCF !!! [Would you like to read books and tell us about it? Would you like to be a CCF reporter and have your book reviews posted to the CCF website? You can! We want to publish your writing! Click this link, CCF Reporter, and become a CCF reporter today!]
