As they approached the alley Margaret and Darian smelled an old musty smell. They took a deep breath and stepped into the darkness, hoping they could finish what they started.
Earlier that day, they'd been walking down the hall to advanced band when Dustin and Colton had popped out of Mrs. Hodges's room and jumped on top of them, making their stuff tumble to the ground for the fifth time that week. That was the last straw and Margaret and Darian had come up with a plan to stop this madness once and for all.
After school, Margaret and Darian had scurried down the road and hurried into the path leading to the alley Colton and Dustin went through to get to their houses. They stepped into the alley and hid behind the old rusty trashcans. They heard Dustin and Colton as they entered the alley. Margaret and Darian pulled out their ropes right when they came by. They slipped out from behind the trashcans and jumped on top of them wrapping the ropes around their necks.
As life almost left Colton and Dustin, Margaret and Darian loosened the ropes, stepped away from them, and walked out of the alley.
