“What? There’s actually a National Save A Spider Day?” Billy jumped up and down. Billy loved spiders! He loved the wolf spider, the spitting spider, and the trap door spider. Billy even made his own spider website. Spiderbilly.com.
Billy couldn’t wait for National Save A Spider Day!
The night before National Save A Spider Day, Billy was too excited to sleep. Billy walked over to his computer and looked inside. Black mechanical spiders of all sizes crawled. A Spider crawled out of the computer and onto his hand.
“We have a special mission for you,” the Spiders said. “We need you to help us gather up names, places, and words. Others can search and find what they need, all because we gathered the codes.”
“Yahoo!” Billy exclaimed. “I’m going to help the Spiders!”
The Spiders and Billy crept into websites with dinosaur eggs, lightening storms, and vampire bats. They plucked out names, places, and words. Sometimes they got lost in E-mail accounts, Blogs, and IM chats.
After his adventures had ended, Billy declared, “I will tell everyone about the Spiders inside our computer! Save the Spiders!”
