Walk Two Moons, by Sharon Creech, is a book about a girl named Salamanca on a journey to see her mother.
As she rides with her grandparents to her mother's location she tells the story of Phoebe Winterbottom, whose own story reflects that of Sal's. As Sal continues on her journey, she learns not to judge people too quickly, because they can actually turn out to be good friends.
As I read on about Sal, I learned that not everything bad that happens is your own fault, and not to let it get you down. My favorite part of the entire book is the beginning, when all the mystery and excitement of the book is put into your head, making you eager to read on.
Walk Two Moons is both educational and entertaining. I highly recommend it to anyone that craves a good book.
