"What?!?! There's actually a National Save A Spider Day?," Brett snickered.
"Yes, NSSD is a real day, and I plan on celebrating it," Danielle stated flatly.
Danielle was the prettiest girl in school, and the boys would do anything to get her attention. When Brett heard about Danielle's plan to honor National Save a Spider Day, he knew he had to ask her about it. Brett had managed to get on Danielle's bad side after he started last years' most popular chant: "Danielle, You Smell!"
All the kids were saying it. He had only started repeating his rhyme as a way to get Danielle's attention. He got her attention alright! She punted him straight out of the friends category, past the annoying little brother box, and deep into the "too mean to acknowledge zone." Brett knew that NSS Day was his only chance to make up for that sorry chant he started last year. As Brett stood there in front of Danielle, he thought long and hard about what he would say next.
What would you say?
