That Darn Cupid
by Haley J., Contest #200802

Cupid was at it again, making people fall in love that were totally wrong for each other. First it was my mom and dad. Then it was my sister and that crazy Jason. When will he learn? Cupid just makes people's lives miserable.

This guy I like, Matt, is a sweetie. We talk and hang out all the time. Matt knows that I like him, yet he doesn’t like me. I can tell because he has never asked me out. I really want him to like me, but that darn cupid has never granted me that wish. He just makes the oddest couples.

Just as I am writing this, I am looking over at Matt. He‘s looking at me! Now, he is coming over by me! I think this is all a dream. Wait, maybe not, because you can’t feel things in a dream. He grabbed my hand, and told me how he felt about me.

Did I just hear Matt say what I think I did? He just said that he liked me and wanted to know if I would go out with him! Maybe, cupid chooses certain couples for a reason.
