"On the way to grandma's house you’re in for many surprises,” Bethany told the class as she finished her oral report. “Any questions?”
“What’s so great about going to your grandmother’s house?” asked Teddy.
Bethany replied, “Grandma lives on a wild animal reserve.”
Teddy exclaimed, “No way!”
“Yes way!” Paige said. “I went the last time. It was fun and funny.”
“Why was it funny?” Mrs. Maxim asked.
“Cause a giraffe spit in the car,” said Paige. “It landed on Danny.”
“And a rhino chased after the car,” said Kent.
“You were there too?” Mrs. Maxim asked.
“Oh, yes ma’am,” Bethany replied laughing, “and so was Stella.”
Everyone laughed and looked at Stella.
“Some lions jumped on the car. We could not get out for almost an hour!” said Stella, “because Danny kept feeding them!”
“Stella rode Gracie the elephant. And then, after she yelled at Gracie,” Kent said laughing, “the elephant sat and refused to move! So Stella yelled and kicked Gracie and the elephant sprayed Stella with water and got her good and soaking wet.”
“A visit full of adventures!” exclaimed Mrs. Maxim.
“Yes,” Bethany agreed, “You never know what will happen on the way to grandma’s house.”
