With July 4th coming up I feel very proud to be a healthy American. With my grandparents coming from a poor part of Italy and my dad coming from Cuba, I am just proud that we are all safe and sound here in America.
On the fourth of July I think of how in America we have food, shelter, clothes and many more things you need to survive. I think that the fourth of July is just like Thanksgiving. We all take the time to be thankful for everything that we have in our lives.
Everybody has different family traditions on the fourth of July. Some families get together and pray and others sit out and watch the fireworks. My family and I celebrate it while sitting outside and watching some of the fireworks that are going on around the neighborhood.
A very important part of the fourth of July is that it is America's birthday of course. On the 4th of July we celebrate how the United States is a place where we can all live safe and sound. I am very thankful and proud to be an American. Happy Birthday America!
