National Nothing Day...HELP!

National Nothing Day finally arrived. I was doing nothing but reading a blank book. I was ready to sleep when a burglar came in! I was so scared I yelled for my mom but she said in a bored voice, “It is National Nothing Day and we, the burglars, and the whole world are doing nothing.”

I ran to the phone to call the police and they said the same thing as my mother. I then called the fire department and they said the same thing too. I ran as fast as lightning to town square. I wanted to prove to the mayor that there really was a burglar in town. There were no security guards out front, of course, so I went right in.

The burglar was close behind me. I screamed to the mayor but the mayor interrupted me and said, ” Of course young one….”

But the burglar popped in before he could say anything else. The mayor called the police and they believed him. The police arrested the bad guy and National Nothing Day was saved.
