Lost In Love

Cupid was at it again. Aries sat in the chair beside a small table. He pressed his left hand to his chest and felt his heart beating. "It’s still operating," he thought, "pumping blood all over my body." He smiled at the thought.

He folded his body to his knee. He was afraid Cupid would come and thrust another arrow on his chest. Soon he realized Cupid could target his back, so he crouched behind the small table.

“What are you doing?” asked a woman standing on the threshold. She wore an all white uniform.

“I’m afraid he will come. His arrow was painful on my chest. I don’t want to feel that again.”

“No, don't start,” she said as she walked away. “I won't let you spoil my Valentine's Day mood.”

He looked from side to side. When everything was clear he rose and walked toward the sealed window. It was raining outside.

“Marie what have you done?" Aries cried out, "Cupid thrust his arrow in my chest and you pulled it back.”

The nurse came back in. Aries turned to her with a confused expression on his face and asked, “Who is Marie?”
