The look in the tiger's eyes was one of the worst experiences of my life. I was just coming to feed the Tiger as it is now a part of my new routine as the Zoologist here at Park field Zoo. I was filling the food dish, and the huge Tiger attacked me!
It jumped on me and started clawing and biting me. I was screaming. My entire body felt like fire and I could feel the warm blood dripping down my limbs. I looked into the Tiger's eyes, and I could tell that Tiger wanted me dead. I would've been dead hadn't the head Zookeeper noticed the trail of blood in the Tiger's den. I closed my eyes preparing for the final blow, when all of a sudden I heard...
"Monica! Are you okay? I'm coming to help!"
I shouted back "Angela good timing! I had no idea the Tigers were this vicious!"
After they got me away from the Tiger, I was immediately put into the New York City Terminal Ward, and I stayed there for three weeks. When I was able to go back to work, the Tiger had been locked away, never to attack us again.
