“For St. Patrick’s Day this year I am going to plant a tree,” declared Jasper.
Hector looked confused. Jasper clarified.
“I know that’s what you’re supposed to do on Arbor Day but one of my President’s Day resolutions was to try new ways of doing things. Therefore I am going to give chocolates to my mother on Thanksgiving. I plan to dress up as a vampire on Columbus Day. I can’t wait for Father’s Day so I can shoot off fireworks. Of course we are all looking forward to Valentine’s Day so we can pinch groundhogs. Yes sir, this year is going to be fun.” he said with much enthusiasm.
Hector rubbed his chin.
“What will you do for Christmas?” he asked.
Jasper thought for a moment.
“I guess I’ll dress up in green and go door to door asking for painted eggs,” he answered.
Hector shook his head and said, “You’re weird.”
