National Nothing Day finally arrived. The usual thing to do on such a day was to do nothing and just sit, but today turned out to be different.

A skunk joined in and sat next to Michelle at breakfast. She hadn't noticed it until she turned to look outside. When she saw the skunk she was horrified that not only was it stinky, it also had eyes as big as baseballs and teeth as long and sharp as kitchen knives.

She screamed with horror. The skunk was startled by her screams and sprayed his saliva on her. Michelle fainted. When she came to, the skunk was gone. She ran to her room to shower but when she looked in the mirror, she screamed for help. She had become a monstrous-looking ball of slime.

Michelle tried to wash it away. Then she saw the skunk watching her through the open window. Michelle screamed and the skunk sprayed his saliva on her again.

With a start Michelle woke up. The nightmare was over. She was back to her normal self…or was she? All day long her family kept asking where the skunk smell came from every time Michelle walked in a room.
