The Old Chapel

Once upon a time, three friends, Zyra, Rani, and Kim lived in the ancient city of Goldville. Zyra and Rani were greedy and Kim was kind-hearted.

One day they visited the old haunted chapel in the back of the school. Kim's backpack suddenly filled with shiny gold pieces. Kim was both shocked and excited! But Zyra and Rani were jealous.

Rani looked and found more gold pieces hidden in the cracks and crevices of the old chapel and told everyone in Goldville about it. The news spread like wildfire.

Eager groups heard every word and launched a search party. Soon, the first cries of success could be heard. Kim watched what they were doing and gasped when she saw how the gold pieces turned into thin air at their touch. There was an uproar! There were questions and demands about why Kim had gold and they didn't.

So Kim shared some of her gold with them, but it turned into thin air as soon as they touched it. Though Kim was able to use the gold pieces the rest of her life, the mystery as to why she was the only one who could do so was never revealed.
