She took one of the mysterious seeds and tossed it into the garden. Rose waited 3 weeks for the plant to grow. During those 3 weeks she kept asking her mom questions.

"Mom, I just planted the seeds. How long will they take to sprout?"

"About two to three weeks. Why?" her mother asked.

"Because the growing contest is in four weeks. I wonder what plant it is. Do you know?"

"No Rose. I don't know. And don't you worry about it anyway. Okay?"

"Okay!"

A week went by. Rose was curious. "Will the plants ever grow?" Rose kept asking herself.

Finally the plant grew. It was a pumpkin plant. "Neat! I know I'll win the contest," Rose told her mother.

"I guess you might. You never know in life." Rose's mother told her.

Another week went by and then Rose won the plant contest.

"Yea!" the crowd cheered.

Her mom even congratulated her. "Nice job Rose. You did great."

"Thanks mom. I couldn't ask for a better mom than you. You're already the best mom and that's a fact."

"Thank you."
