She took one of the mysterious seeds and tossed it over her shoulder.
PLINK!
Whirling around, Lulu gasped. Drifting slowly toward the castle, then back toward the diver, the tiny pearl-like seed sank closer and closer to the bottom of the tank.
GULP!
Of course Lulu didn’t hear that sound as Spot opened his fishy little lips to suck the seed inside. His eyes opened wide. Very wide.
OOPS!
Lulu glanced at the packet still in her hand. Just below the torn top edge a printed label screamed: SEAGRAPES! DO NOT EAT!
Okay, the label didn’t really scream. But those red capital letters struck fear into Lulu’s heart.
BURP!
Eyeballs swiveling from the package to the aquarium, Lulu looked up just as a large silver bubble erupted from Spot’s mouth.
POP!
Reaching the surface, the bubble burst. In its place, the pearly seed floated like a miniature beach ball.
TICK!
Spot butted the seed with his fishy little head. Even without eyebrows, Spot was definitely frowning.
WHEW!
Lulu used Spot’s net to nab the seed, rescuing it from the water.
She placed it with the other seeds scattered across the table.
Lulu wondered, “What got INTO me?”
So did Spot!
