What? There's actually a National Save A Spider Day? One day I was sitting on my porch waiting for my cousin Zack. Then a giant spider came walking down the street.
"Hi," I said.
"Hi," said Zack. "Happy save a spider day."
"What?" I said.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. It is National Save A Spider Day."
"I've got to get ready," I said. So I ran upstairs and got on my Halloween costume. I was a giant spider this year. I ran back downstairs and off we went to school.
At the stop light Zack said, "Do you think everyone else will have their spider costumes on?"
"Of course," I replied unsure.
At school, everyone made fun of us. The teacher took our costumes and other kids called us spider brothers and spider dorks.
On the way home Zack said, next year let's keep National Save A Spider Day to ourselves."
