She took one of the mysterious seed and tossed it into her mouth.

"Mmmm! Sunflower seeds! My FAVORITE!" Nancy exclaimed. Then her mouth began to shake uncontrollably and the seed popped out of her mouth. When it hit the floor, Nancy blinked to get a second look. The seed had tiny arms and legs and a wild look in its eyes.

"You-eat-me! Me-no-like-you!" the seed stammered.

"You can talk?" Nancy asked.

"Of course I can," the seed said, calming down.

"How?" Nancy quizzed.

"I dunno," the seed said. "But I want to PLAAAYYY!" The seed darted off, as quick as lightning, and began to tear around the house!

"Stop!" Nancy yelled, but it was no use. Her mother would be home any minute, and Nancy would be in so much trouble. Nancy began sulking up to her room and the seed watched guiltily as she stomped upstairs.

"I've got to do something!" the seed said.

Later the doorbell rang and Nancy ran to get it. When she passed the furniture, it was completely tidy. She opened the door and her mother stepped in and gasped.

"Nancy, you cleaned the house," she said.

Nancy winked at the seed.
