Tom the Leprechaun

"For Saint Patrick’s Day this year I want to meet a leprechaun.
I love the little things. I heard they're coming here this year for
vacation and I have my heart set on catching one. If I don’t, my
name is not Lea."

I remember when I wrote that in my diary years ago. Later, on that same day, I saw a leprechaun. I wanted it so bad that I grabbed my bag, ran through my back yard and caught it. I brought the leprechaun to my tree house so we could get acquainted.

The leprechaun’s name was Tom. He told me that he would always help me with his magic and that's just what he did. Tom and I stayed friends.

Once a bully at school was about to take my money so Tom quickly used his magic on him. He lifted the bully and put him in the garbage can, head first. Lots of people laughed but not me. Instead, I went back to my tree house and thanked him.

Tom lived in a tree that he made with his magic. He kept his promise and used his magic for good and for helping me and others.
