True Meaning of Christmas

It was a miracle and there was no other way to explain it. When I walked downstairs to see who was knocking at the door on Christmas morning I thought I was dreaming, as the snow was falling softly from the sky.

My parents told me that I wasn't getting lots of presents because we didn't have a lot of money. But when I opened the door, my jaw dropped to see a long line of church people and neighbors holding gifts for us. As I ran upstairs to get my parents out of bed, people were still coming over and putting presents under our Christmas tree.

I couldn't believe that God answered my prayer. I had asked God to help us out and He did by sending all these caring people. Some people came with clothes, homemade gifts and other things. But one stranger had a present that would change our lives forever. As a young girl walked up to me with her parents she said, "We are moving and we would like you to have our house in town"

From that day on I found the true meaning of Christmas. It was the kindness of friends and strangers.
