“With July 4th coming up we need to begin our preparations. For some of you this will be your first and unfortunately may be your last July 4th, a night where millions of warm bodies gather together to worship the bright flashing lights. This is the night of nights, the Big Kahuna if you will. So let's hear some ideas that are going to keep us safe out there! Needlenose, what have you got?”
“Well boss, this year I ordered strap on, blind proof goggles to protect against the bright lights.”
The crowd Ohhed and Ahhed at the thought.
“I like your thinking. Anyone else find any cutting edge equipment?”
A small nasal voice came from the rear of the overstuffed room. “Yes sir, I did. I’ve invented a lightweight plastic body suit to protect against any direct hit with spray. The suit is also equipped with a jet powered pack to quickly dodge any deadly blows that may come our way.”
“Harry, you’re a genius! With Needlenose’s glasses and your suit, the swarms should be unstoppable.”
The crowd buzzed their wings in agreement, creating a deafening sound.
“Fellow mosquitoes, this 4th, we shall dine safely like kings!”
