Adoption Doings

Hazel Krantz, with Adoption DoingsThinking of adopting? Have you already adopted and have questions about your little "angels?" Well, if you live in or near Larimer County, Colorado I have great news for you! Along with Cherry Sokolosky, I direct an adoptive parents support group under the auspices of Larimer County Human Services. I have also launched an adoption doings message board on the CCF site where you can join already going discussions on adoption or start one of your own.

For those in the area, first stop on the adoption road would be John Gillies, of Larimer County Human Services. John is the expert on rules and regulations, possible agencies, and support groups.  Cherry Sokoloski and myself coordinate a parents' support group, featuring professional speakers on pertinent topics, such as attachment. There is always time for personal discussion of matters on your mind.

The group meets the second Monday night of each month at 6:30 p.m., currently at the Family Center, Willow & College, Ft. Collins, Colorado. An Adoption Roundtable, comprising the leaders in groups, agencies, and social services, presents an adoption workshop for prospective adoptive parents.  For information on when the next one will take place, contact Hazel Krantz at 482-811 or Cherry Sokolosky, at 484-5705.

Come visit us at the CCF Message board and share your thoughts on an ongoing topic or start your own. Let's talk about Adoption Doings!
