Run Antarctica with Christine!

Think about the coldest place on earth, a place so big that it's approximately the size of the United States and Mexico combined. Think about a place where 99% of its surface is covered by a permanent ice sheet, averaging over a mile in thickness, and sometimes even three. Think about one of the last pristine places on earth, an entire continent devoted to science. Then picture a young woman running a marathon there.

The place is Antarctica. The young woman is Christine Gary. And the event is the 2010 Antarctica Marathon. If not for her true grit determination, Christine would be the last person you'd think of when it comes to running marathons, let alone running one in Antarctica plus each of the other six continents on earth.

Christine was never a runner in high school or before. She took up running because she hated it. She reasoned that the day she enjoyed running would be the day she was in shape. That was two years ago and she's still running  today! Her goal now is to inspire others to embrace lifelong fitness along her way.

Children Come First is proud to be a sponsor of Christine Gary as she runs marathons in each of the 7 continents while promoting health & fitness and educational programs. Christine is a CCF intern. She works on our editorial department and writes to the CCF website under various topics related to health and fitness.

Her quest to promote health and fitness can only be made possible by tax deductible donations from someone like you.

You can donate to Christine's journey today. No amount is too small. Your donation, big or small, is tax-deductible.

100% of your donation will go towards The CCF Antarctica Project, which is coordinated by Christine. Funds will be allocated to CCF's educational programs and a portion of the amount raised will also go to Oceanites, an educational nonprofit dedicated to conserving wildlife--Keeping our planet green and beautiful!

You can run Antarctica with Christine!!!

She'll write the name of every donor on the shirt she'll be wearing while she runs the Antarctica Marathon on Marth 7, 2010!
Your tax-deductible donation will help Christine run this marathon & raise funds for two educational nonprofits.

We appreciate any amount you can donate. No amount is too small. Click one of the donations buttons below and your credit card donation will be processed via PayPal. Click the "Other" button to donate an amount other than the ones listed below.
