My writing started out in the 60's in the newspaper field as a feature writer, then when on to cover community news.  Had my own weekly column in two different papers for 2 years covering the recreation events in both cities as well as misc topics.  Was Assist. Editor for a local weekly newspaper writing editorials, community news, and did paper lay out.

Started 5 different writers clubs in KC, KS, Liberty, MO, Salina, KS, Jacksonville, AR, Colorado Springs, CO and Woodland Park, CO. (Three of them are still continuing).  Consider myself more of a 'writing coach' rather than a 'teacher.'  Five people from these writing groups have been published since starting - at least that is how many I have heard about.

Have had several poems published in newspapers. One poem sold to a Sunday School Church leaflet given out to the children.

Writing has evolved from picture books to mysteries for middle school children.  Writing everyday has helped keep my momentum going and my spirit alive.
